Corrections

Every figure on this site is transcribed from a county document, and the document governs. If a number here does not match the source it cites, the number here is wrong and will be corrected.

Reporting an error

The most useful report names the page, the figure, and the county document and printed page you checked it against. Every figure on this site carries its citation, so all three are on screen next to the number.

A report does not need to be that complete to be worth sending. “This looks wrong” on a specific figure is enough to start.

What happens when the county disputes a figure

If the county says a figure here misreads its document, the figure is checked against the document. If this site read it wrong, it is corrected and logged.

If the reading holds and the disagreement is about what the document means, both positions are published side by side and cited. This site does not adjudicate a dispute about its own source material, and it does not quietly remove a figure because the disagreement is uncomfortable.

DateFigureWhat changedWhy
2026-09-07dept.informationsytemsThe Information Systems department's displayed name (canonical_name) is now "Information Systems" instead of "Information Sytems." The entity_id and the label_map.csv raw match label are unchanged: the FY2026 budget book itself prints "Information Sytems" (pdf p.58, printed 57, General Fund Appropriations Summary), so the label map still matches that literal printed text. The prior canonical_name copied the county's own typo into the site's display name. The printed source form is preserved for citation matching; only the reader-facing label is corrected.
2026-09-07Multiple pagesGeneral Fund other-financing-sources residual components for FY2016, FY2017, FY2022 and FY2023 now use the county's own printed line labels and amounts instead of generic descriptions. FY2023 in particular was stored as two invented components (“Gain on sale of capital assets” $1,343,082 and “Budget-to-GAAP basis adjustment (net)” $1,821,127) that summed to the correct total but matched no printed line; the county's basic statement and budgetary schedule both print a single line, “Issuance of leases,” $3,164,209. Also added FY2011's Final Budget column residual, “Fund balance appropriation” $(36,145), distinguished by a new column field (actual vs. final_budget). Total residual amounts are unchanged except for the newly added FY2011 figure. The FY2023 components were a plausible-sounding guess rather than a source read; the county prints one line, not two. Re-verified all four years' labels against the basic statement and budgetary schedule in the same ACFR.
2026-09-07Multiple pagesThe comparison of projected and audited ending balances now includes changes to the beginning balance, budget-book position adjustments and applicable accounting-basis adjustments. Any difference unexplained by the four main revenue, spending and transfer lines is labeled as a derived remainder.Earlier presentation omitted adjustments and could imply that incomplete flow lines explained the full balance change. Source monetary values are unchanged.
2026-09-07Multiple pagesGeneral Fund comparisons consistently use the audited report’s final amended budget and budget-basis actual totals, including transfers. The budget-book forecast is shown separately. Printed dashes and missing values retain their source meaning. Some displays treated missing budget operands as zero or mixed budget-book plan figures with final amended budgets, producing misleading differences.
2026-09-06Multiple pagesCorrected historical General Fund source-page citations in the explorer and downloads. Annual-result, balance and accounting-adjustment citations now identify their verified report pages; monetary values are unchanged. The observation generator had assigned the opening revenue page to other measures, and two summary links reused FY2025 page numbers for older years.

Citing a figure from this site

Cite the county’s document, which every figure here names. If you need to cite this site — for a transcription, a total it computed, or a caveat it carries — include the data version below. It is a hash of the published data, so it changes when a figure changes and not when the site is merely rebuilt.
